I have been really slack enjoying some need time off.

we have two great gigs tonight (Fri 20th) at The Empress in North Fitzroy and tomorrow I’m playing two songs with Chuck Jenkins and his band at the corner as part of the 4th Winter Ball.

that’s all we have going on this month as we are taking some time to write and record.

We are touring in winter because we are idiots. Luckily we have some awesome lineups and shows this month to keep us warm.

For our NSW drinking buddies we have a big party planned at The Vanguard on the Sunday of the long weekend. It’s our first big headlining show in Sydney and we are pretty pumped to be sharing it with you.

We have two really special shows planned for Victoria, the first one is this weekend at Castlemaine’s Theatre Royal with Newcastle’s queen of the night Kira Puru and her amazing band the Bruise. It’s our first time to this venue and we cant wait. The second is at one of our favourite venues The Tote with one of our favourite Melbourne bands The Death Rattles.

Not to be left out, QLD we will be gracing your state for one show in West End at The Joynt. Every time we have played The Joynt there has been a happening that has become one of the more out there stories we tell our friends about being on the road. The only thing I know to expect is Jodi and the rest of the bar staff will make sure you have cracking time.

So I had a week off all substances, just to let my liver know that I love it and I appreciate what it does for me. Also to prepare it for the excellent time I’m going to have throughout my birthday month.

March saw us play the Famous Spiegeltent. We had an amazing time and were very humbled by the amount of people who came to watch us on a Monday night. We can’t thank you all enough. If you missed it, there are some photos by the very talented Freetoeknee Photography here.

This month, we are heading back into the studio and as such only doing a handful of gigs in Victoria. Luckily, we have managed to get on some great line-ups around town. We’ll be back in NSW in May and QLD in June.

We had a great time throughout February, big thanks to all the people and bands we partied with around the country and a huge thanks to Applecore, what an amazing day. I hear a rumour its the last Applecore to be on that site, which is a real shame, it was a really special day. March finds us heading back to NSW to gig with one our favourite front ladies, Mojo Juju. We have two big shows with her in Sydney and Newcastle. It’s going to be a pretty huge couple of nights.

On our return to VIC we get to play our first Melbourne show for 2012 at The Famous Spiegeltent. We are pretty excited and can’t wait to fill up the stage with an 8 piece Last Drinks.

February is Up. On. and 2012 has already seen us getting rowdy in 3 states all in the while meeting new friends and playing some really great gigs (Juke Baritone and White Knuckle Fever we are looking at you)
